Mehrere Einzelstudien befassen sich jeweils mit der Geschichte Italiens, Deutschlands und Österreichs, aber nur wenige mit dem trilateralen Verhältnis. Dieses Buch soll sowohl Erkenntnisse zur Geschichte der drei Länder als auch Einblicke in das Leben von Forschenden bieten, die sich mit dieser Thematik befassen und sie "schreiben". Die vorliegende Publikation basiert auf Beiträgen sowie Experten- und Zeitzeugengesprächen, die von 2014 bis 2023 im Rahmen der öffentlichen Vortragsreihe "Europagespräche" des Instituts für Geschichte der Stiftung Universität Hildesheim stattfanden. Ziel dieser Initiative war es, die Geschichte Europas und der europäischen Integration einem möglichst breiten Publikum näher zu bringen und im Anschluss zu dokumentieren.

In diesem Rahmen konzentriert sich das Werk auf die Beziehungen zwischen Italien, Deutschland und Österreich sowie ihre Verflechtungen auf bilateraler, europäischer, transnationaler und internationaler Ebene im Bereich der Geschichtsschreibung, Kultur, Politik und Wirtschaft. [Verlagstext]

Numerose pubblicazioni trattano della storia di Italia, Germania e Austria, ma poche delle loro relazioni trilaterali. Questo libro intende offrire sia approfondimenti sulla storia dei tre Paesi che uno sguardo alla vita dei ricercatori e delle ricercatrici che si occupano e "scrivono" di questi temi. La pubblicazione si basa su contributi e interviste a esperti/e e testimoni che si sono svolti dal 2014 al 2023 nell'ambito del ciclo di conferenze pubbliche "Europagespräche" organizzato dall'Istituto di Storia dell'Università di Hildesheim. L'obiettivo di questa iniziativa era quello di avvicinare un pubblico più vasto possibile alla storia dell'Europa e dell'integrazione europea. In questo quadro, il presente lavoro si concentra sulle relazioni tra Italia, Germania e Austria e sulle loro interdipendenze a livello bilaterale, europeo, transnazionale e internazionale nei campi della storiografia, della cultura, della politica e dell'economia. Several studies deal with the history of Italy, Germany and Austria, but only a few with the trilateral relationship. This book is intended to offer both insights into the history of the three countries and into the lives of researchers who deal with and "write" this topic. This publication is based on contributions as well as interviews with experts and contemporary witnesses that took place from 2014 to 2023 as part of the public lecture series "Europagespräche" organised by the Institute of History at the University of Hildesheim Foundation. The aim of this initiative was to bring the history of Europe and European integration closer to as wide an audience as possible and then to document it. Within this framework, this work focuses on the relations between Italy, Germany and Austria and their interdependencies at bilateral, European, transnational and international level in the fields of historiography, culture, politics and economics.
