Questo libro, con l'apporto di oltre quaranta contributi di studiosi di tutto il mondo, affronta il tema della catalogazione, della gestione e del riuso del patrimonio culturale delle comunità di vita consacrata. Il significato e il ruolo assunto dai patrimoni culturali della Chiesa nei diversi contesti sono illustrati sia da contributi di natura teorica sia da concreti esempi di progetti di tutela e valorizzazione. La possibilità di considerare unitariamente l'insieme estremamente diversificato dei beni culturali delle comunità religiose si apre solo riconoscendo in essi un valore intrinseco e dovendo corrispondere alla responsabilità di garantire la loro conservazione a scopo conoscitivo e progettuale, per reinnestare tali beni in percorsi vitali di educazione e formazione culturale.

Oltre agli atti del convegno internazionale "Carisma e Creatività", il volume pubblica gli esiti del questionario avviato sullo stato di catalogazione e gestione dei patrimoni culturali delle comunità di vita consacrata, restituendo un quadro di precarietà e fragilità. This volume, enriched by the contributions of over forty scholars from across the globe, delves into the themes of the cataloging, management, and reuse of the cultural heritage of religious communities. The meaning and role of the Church's cultural heritage across diverse contexts are elucidated through both theoretical reflections and concrete examples of preservation and promotion projects. The prospect of approaching the highly diverse heritage of these communities in a unified manner becomes viable only through the acknowledgment of its intrinsic value, embracing the responsibility to ensure their preservation for both knowledge and planning purposes. Such systematic endeavors aspire to reintegrate this heritage into dynamic frameworks of education and cultural engagement. In addition to the proceedings from the international conference "Charism and Creativity", this volume presents the findings of the survey conducted on the management of cultural heritage within communities of consecrated life.

These results highlight a scenario marked by precarity and fragility. However, this volume seeks to inspire a shift in perspective regarding the vast ecclesiastical heritage: from being perceived as a burden, it can be reimagined as a new opportunity, and this is an essential prerequisite for implementing effective strategies and projects of preservation and promotion.
